Shared antenatal care allows you to share your pregnancy care between the maternity unit of your local public hospital and an experienced ANSC GP. As you embark on the journey to motherhood, you can be assured of your ongoing, continuous, tailored pregnancy care.

This model will allow mothers to have a degree of hospital oversight, expertise and confidence, while experiencing the warmth of community based personalised care. The wonderful GPs frequently provide ongoing visits to their patients, ensuring their comfort, thorough understanding of what to expect and ongoing support for mothers. Hospitals have the advantage of specialised monitored care when needed, meaning when mothers need hospital based care, they will always have it. Shared Antenatal Care is also valuable to healthy pregnancies in order for mothers to be able to establish an excellent, strong, continuous relationship with their GP - someone who knows their history and can, therefore, provide advice based on familiarity and care.
